| DCI India Denim Day : Denim Give Away Drive |
| |
Denim clothing - from its humble origins as workers overalls - has over they years evolved
and gained immense popularity. Today, denim can be found in almost every wardrobe. Almost all of us have one,
or more than one,
pair of Jeans and other denim garments stashed away in the wardrobe which we no longer use because the size does
not fit any longer or we have got newer and better stuff which we wear currently.
You can now take those
currently un-used Denims out and give them away for a good cause.
As a part of India Denim Day 2009 Campaign, Denim Club India is organizing a "Denim Give Away Drive" from 15 November to 30 November 2010.
In this drive, we shall be collecting the currently un-used Denims from one and all, and then subsequently donate
them to People Living with HIV through a few selected NGOs which are involved in providing support and care
to People Living with or affected by HIV and AIDS.
You can also extend your help by becoming a local drop off point for the Denim Give Away Drive. You can spread the
word in your neighborhood, school, college, organization, and collect denim garments from
your friends and acquaintances. Please feel free to write to us in case you are interested in setting up a
local drop-off point.
We
appeal to all individuals to be generous and forthcoming and to give away any wearable denim garment they or their family members possess.
We will gratefully accept denim garments in all sizes and shapes for adults as well as children.
The central point for the Denim Give Away Drive shall be at the showroom of The Brand Express, Vasant Kunj, New
Delhi.
